Captain Marc Johnson started his career in law enforcement in the United States Army where he served as a Military Policeman and a Correctional Supervisor. He began his service at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office in 2005 as a Detention Officer. Captain Johnson attended night mandate at the police academy a couple years later while working full time at the Sheriff’s Office and was selected as the Honor Graduate of his class. He was promoted to Sergeant in the Jail Division after graduating the police academy and completed General Law Enforcement Instructor Training a short time later. Captain Johnson became a Jail Training Officer, Certified Training Instructor in Firearms, Emergency Medical, Defensive Tactics, Driver Instructor and Commander over the Training Unit. His passions are the Lord, his wife, son and believes that we should “Train like your life depends on it because one day it might.
