Our Purpose
To provide exceptional support to the Sheriff, Chief Deputy, and all personnel at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. The Office of Administration includes managing the fiscal processes including but not limited to budget and capital projects; providing administration support in payroll; recruiting personnel and investigating complaints; conducting staff inspections; promotions; legal matters; internal and external communications; managing the approval of certain permits for businesses/individuals; maintaining accredited status through the state certification program; strengthening community relations and trust; and information technology security, services, and projects.

After graduating Hampton University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education, she taught sixth graders Language Arts and Reading in her native town Augusta, Georgia. Raised with a commitment to public service, upon graduating John Marshall Law School, she worked as public and private attorney in the metro area of Atlanta for over 20 years culminating in her current position as the Henry County Sheriff’s Office General Counsel. Ms. Cross has worked on every level of local and state government and has practiced in state and federal court, Northern and Southern Districts respectively. One of her proudest accomplishments is her appellate practice record with the Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court. On a personal note, she is married to Rodney Cross and has two lovely daughters.

Chandra Brown
Legal Affairs Director

Chandra D. Brown joined the Henry County Sheriff’s Office in January 2021 as the Director of Legal Affairs. Prior to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, she was the Administrative Coordinator at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. During her tenure at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office she assisted the agency with Open Records Act Requests, Request for Proposals and the liaison between the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and the DeKalb County Legal Department. She is a graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law, currently resides in Fulton County with her Great Pyrenees Oso. She enjoys listening to Gospel music, running and working out at Orangetheory.

LaMarion Green-Hughey
Finance Director

LaMarion Green-Hughey joined the Henry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) in January 2023 as the Director of Finance after serving as a Financial Consultant to HCSO for two years. Prior to joining HCSO, she served 22 years at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office prior to retiring in 2020 as the Director of Fiscal Management.
She attended Georgia Southern University and obtained a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Management before relocating to Atlanta to work for the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in the state of Georgia. In addition to holding a state CPA license, Mrs. Green also hold a Georgia Life Insurance license as well as Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (LSSYB) and Green Belt (LSSGB) certifications. Social and civic organizations include American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA), National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Born and raised in Macon, Mrs. Green have proudly lived in Georgia her entire life. She is married to Kevin Hughey and the parents to four children.

Michelle Myrick Simmons
Human Resource Manager

Michelle Myrick-Simmons is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She is experienced in Human Resources (HR) and Management with a demonstrated history in all facets of HR, leadership and coaching, effective communication, consulting, customer satisfaction and skilled in changing culture. She is a strong focused professional that holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Shorter University and a master’s degree in Management and Human Resource from the University of Phoenix.

Nartrish Lance
Technology Services Director

Nartrish Lance joined the Henry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) in February 2021 as the Information Technology Manager of the Technology Services Section. She brings a wealth of experience from her 25-year career in the United States Armed Forces, where she served 12 years in Human Resources and 13 years in Information Management Systems and Services.
Her extensive background in IT includes expertise in customer service support, team leadership, project management, IT infrastructure, risk management, asset security, procurement, and life-cycle management.
Nartrish holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a Master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Maryland University College. A native of Atlanta, she now resides in Henry County with her husband, Edward Lance. Together, they enjoy a vibrant family life with six children, seven grandchildren, and two beloved pups.

Tameka Walker
Accreditation and Compliance Director

Tameka Walker is a dedicated administrative professional with more than two decades of experience supporting correctional, medical, and accreditation operations. Retiring as an Accreditation Manager in December 2025. She joined the Henry county Sheriff’s Office as the Accreditation and Compliance Director.
Throughout her tenure, Tameka has demonstrated exceptional leadership in staff supervision, compliance management, and organizational development. She is skilled in coordinating assessments, maintaining accreditation files, preparing reports and audits, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. Her commitment to excellence and team success earned her the title of Manager of the Year in 2022.
Before her current role, Tameka served as Health Services Manager at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, where she managed a multimillion-dollar medical services contract and led quality improvement initiatives to strengthen operational compliance and inmate healthcare delivery. Earlier in her career, she excelled as an Administrative Assistant, supporting executive leadership with vendor relations, budget tracking, and accreditation preparation—earning multiple promotions and recognition for outstanding service.
Tameka holds certification as a Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) through the NCCHC and as a Certified Accreditation Manager through CALEA. Recognized for her integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to build cohesive teams, Tameka remains committed to fostering excellence, accountability, and community trust in every role she undertakes.
Tameka is an Atlanta native, she is the mother of two outstanding children and a doggy.
