Our Purpose

To provide exceptional support to the Sheriff, Chief Deputy, and all personnel at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. The Office of Administration includes managing the fiscal processes including but not limited to budget and capital projects; providing administration support in payroll; recruiting personnel and investigating complaints; conducting staff inspections; promotions; legal matters; internal and external communications; managing the approval of certain permits for businesses/individuals; maintaining accredited status through the state certification program; strengthening community relations and trust; and information technology security, services, and projects.

Our Purpose

The General Counsel provides legal advice and resources to the Sheriff and executive command team; serves as the liaison between County departments, state and local agencies, and vendors on legal matters; proactively identifies and mitigates risk and conducts other management responsibilities as directed by the Sheriff and executive team.

Our Mission 

To manage legal issues for the HCSO, facilitate transparency for the community, provide timely and accurate response to request, and provide advice and counsel to the Sheriff in order to foster sound decision-making that adheres to applicable laws and regulations.

Our Purpose

The Fiscal Management Section oversees the budget for daily operations and capital projects; monitors account balances and overtime to prevent exceeding allocations; processes all purchases and payments for the HCSO; and oversees expenditures and purchases to ensure compliance with Henry County policies.

Our Mission

To deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and provide proper oversight of all expenditures and revenue collection in order to successfully support the operations of the HCSO.

Our Purpose

The Internal Affairs Unit (IA) is responsible for the investigation, coordination and/or control of all matters involving the internal integrity of the HCSO.  Internal affairs play a vital part in the preservation of professional conduct within the agency and is responsible for monitoring the relationships between the community and the HCSO with the intention of maintaining mutual trust.

To preserve professionalism and accountability of each employee within the HCSO by promoting transparency and maintaining the highest level of integrity. All investigations shall be conducted in a manner to ensure the honor of the agency is maintained through a system of discipline where fairness and justice are assured.

Human Resources will contribute and achieve Henry County Sheriff’s top six goals, which includes but not limited to: recruitment, staffing, employment and providing resources to assist in improving the employees ‘quality of life.’

Our Purpose

Information Technology Services will successfully provide information systems services to the HCSO employees, vendors, and/or contractors daily, which include but not limited customer support; security and governance of applications, services, and infrastructure; business improvements and innovations; training, life-cycle management; and services and product procurement.

Our Mission

To plan, develop, sustain, implement, enforce highly effective, reliable, timely, secure and innovative information systems and projects to support daily and future operations of the HCSO.
