Lieutenant Thomas Palmer joined the Henry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) in August 2005 as a Detention Officer, where he faithfully served for approximately four years. He later transitioned to Court Operations, where he has spent the majority of his career serving in a variety of leadership and operational roles in support of the agency’s mission.
Lieutenant Palmer holds a degree in Criminal Justice and has earned numerous law enforcement certifications throughout his career, demonstrating his commitment to professional development and excellence in public service.
A lifelong resident of Henry County, Lieutenant Palmer is proud to serve and protect the community he has always called home. He is married and the proud father of two children. His dedication to the Sheriff’s Office, his profession, and the citizens of Henry County reflects his unwavering commitment to service, leadership, and community.
