Captain Cinnamon Kizer-Hudson is a seasoned law enforcement executive with nearly two decades of experience spanning patrol operations, school safety, jail administration, criminal investigations, field training, recruitment, and organizational leadership. She currently serves as a Captain with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, where she has advanced through the ranks from School Resource Officer to Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to professional excellence and public service.
Prior to joining the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Captain Kizer-Hudson served with the Hattiesburg Police Department, where she held positions as a Police Officer, Field Training Officer, and Background and Recruiting Investigator. During her tenure, she earned numerous commendations recognizing her professionalism, effective communication, and exceptional investigative abilities.
Her career also includes significant experience in school safety and youth engagement, serving as a School Resource Officer in both Georgia and Ohio, as well as providing administrative leadership within Dayton Public Schools. Earlier in her career, she built a strong foundation in corrections and law enforcement with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, where she progressed from Jail Officer and Jailer to Deputy Sheriff and ultimately Sergeant.
Captain Kizer-Hudson is committed to lifelong learning and professional development. Her advanced training includes Women in Command Leadership Training through Georgia Tech, Homicide Investigation and Crime Scene Management, Intoxilyzer 8000 Operator Certification, and advanced departmental leadership certification. She has also completed more than 120 credit hours in Funeral Science and technical college studies and is a Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Recognized for her leadership, communication skills, community engagement, and dedication to mentoring others, Captain Kizer-Hudson is passionate about strengthening public safety, building meaningful partnerships with the community, and developing the next generation of law enforcement professionals.
A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Captain Kizer-Hudson proudly calls Georgia home. She is the proud mother of two children and enjoys spending time with her beloved dog.
